FAQ

What people ask us before a project starts: price, timing, how we contract and how the conversation works. Answered straight.

What is Operational Intelligence?
It is the discipline Orangefox created for a problem that had no name: operational friction. It is not one more tool, and not an isolated technology project. It means looking at where the operation loses time, money and decisions, and removing that with data, automation and senior people. The thesis is simple: companies do not need more technology, they need to operate better.
Does Orangefox work with companies of my size?
We work mostly with mid-sized and large companies with complex operations: manufacturing, retail, food, logistics and services. The criterion is not size, it is complexity. If your operation has many systems, many teams and decisions that wait on data, the problem is ours.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on scope, which is why we publish no price list. What we can say up front: we work on fixed-scope projects or on allocated capacity, and in both cases the price comes out of a diagnostic conversation, where we understand your problem before proposing anything. That conversation is free and takes about 45 minutes.
How long until we see results?
It depends on the front. In automation and data, the first delivery in production usually lands in weeks rather than quarters, and one of our cases went from concept to production in two months. Data architecture projects run longer, but we work in partial deliveries that create value before the end.
Do you replace my IT team?
No. We come in as a senior extension of the operation you already have. On some fronts we work beside the internal team; on others we take over support so the team is free for what is strategic. The client decides which shape it takes.
Which technologies do you work with?
In data: Qlik Sense and Qlik Cloud, Power BI, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Delta Lake, SQL Server, Oracle, PySpark, AWS Glue and BigQuery. In AI and automation: SOFIA™, our own agent, plus n8n, Supabase, OpenAI, LangChain and RPA. In infrastructure and support: AWS, Azure, SAP (ECC and S/4HANA), backup and continuity. We are partners of Qlik, Microsoft, AWS, Google, SAP, Databricks and Imagem/ESRI.
What is SOFIA™?
It is the AI agent Orangefox built for corporate hyperautomation. Connected to the client data environment, it answers business questions with the real numbers of the operation, serves end customers and carries out tasks, without waiting for someone to build a report first. At an animal protein manufacturer, SOFIA™ cut the cost to serve by 60%.
How do you contract the work?
Three formats, depending on the need: a fixed-scope project with a defined delivery; senior professionals allocated for a period; and a managed squad, where we provide the team and the management together. Today we have around 8 thousand hours a month of operation running inside clients, with 98% satisfaction.
How does the diagnostic conversation work?
Forty-five minutes, by video call, with no commitment and no generic deck. You tell us where the operation gets stuck; we map the friction and say what can be solved, how long it takes and in what order. If working together does not make sense, we say so on the spot.
Do you work outside São Paulo?
Yes. Our head office is in São Paulo and we serve clients across Brazil. Most projects run remotely, with in-person meetings when the work calls for them.
How do you handle my business data?
We follow your own policies and governance, under a confidentiality agreement, with least-privilege access and separation by environment. Sensitive data stays in the client infrastructure whenever possible, and we never download anything. We follow Brazilian data protection law across the whole cycle: no personal data in logs, and no test environment running on untreated production data. Full compliance and database protection.
How long has Orangefox been around?
Since 20 March 2009. We started as an SAP boutique and today we work on three fronts: data, artificial intelligence and senior capacity on demand. That is more than 17 years inside critical operations. SAP is still home to us, with the authority of a firm that was born in it, and we are not limited to it: we work in any architecture.
Why do you not name your clients?
Because what proves our work is the result, and it does not depend on the logo next to it. We publish the number, the sector and what was done; the client name belongs in the conversation, with their permission. And if you want a reference from someone who has been through it, once our conversation advances we are glad to make the introduction.
Can I talk to someone now?
You can. The chat on this site is handled by SOFIA™, which answers right away and brings in a person from the team when the subject calls for it. You can also fill in the contact form or write to [email protected].
